Federal emission standards for many diesel
vehicles, including all 2011 and later Ram
3500/4500/5500 Diesels, require a new
chemical to operate.

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF)
DEF is carried in a separate tank on board the
vehicle and injected into the exhaust system.
DEF consumption is expected to be
approximately 2% of fuel consumption.
